What a pregnancy this has been! A few things...
-I can feel her move much more than I did with Kai, which is fun! My placenta is posterior this time which is why. (Last time it was in front)
-We still can't decide on a name. We've thrown around Presley, Hayden, and Hadley...but we can't find one that we just LOVE. I have gone through lists and lists of baby girl names and can't find one that feels right! What do you guys think? Do you like any of the 3 we were considering? Any suggestions would be helpful too!
-I had my glucose tolerance test (which i never had with Kai since they don't do those in Japan), and this is probably a testament to what a sugar-head I am, but that drink didn't gross me out at all. It tasted like a really rich Hawaiian punch ha. By some miracle, I still passed it. I keep thinking I will get gestational diabetes because I consume way too much sugar, but I guess i've got good genes. Thanks mom!
-I'm pretty grossed out by meat. With the exception of panda express orange chicken. Weird.
-I want panda express orange chicken and fried rice every day. This girl may or may not come out a little Chinese :)
-I forget to eat most days until Kolby gets home. Mostly because I'm chasing my crazy little toddler around and trying to do the millions of items on my to do list. I am this close to just burning all my to do lists...
-I really can't stand water at this point. So, I don't drink all day. Obviously I've been a great host this pregnancy. Usually I finally muster the strength to chug down 2 cups of water with lime at night. Probably still not the best for baby girl... :(
-I have now fallen THREE times during this pregnancy. What the heckkkk? Once while wearing wedges (don't worry I have sworn those off) in which I injured my shoulder, second time at work when I blacked out and hit my head on the floor with a big goose egg and nice big scar above my lip, and third time this week when I slipped on ice/snow even though I was walking SO slowly and carefully. So now I kinda don't ever wanna leave my couch.
-I'm really missing the bi-monthly ultrasounds I had with Kai. I've only seen baby girl once, over 2 months ago, and that's just not enough. Unfortunately they are over $100 right now, even with our insurance. In Japan they were only $10....
-I still LOVE being pregnant, and wish I could stay pregnant forever somehow. But still have a newborn too.
-I can't stop thinking about what she will look like and be like! Kai is such a perfect mix of Kolby and I, and his personality is all me. (Observant, thoughtful, serious, probably more introverted, stubborn, and independent). I'm hoping our little girl will be more like Kolby! I think she'll look like him too. Who knows though!
-We've decided to take an 18 hour road trip to Texas to spend Christmas with my family, so that will be crazy. First, we're meeting up with them in Vegas to see BYU play in the bowl game, then driving straight from there. Since my mom and dad and sisters are flying back, they are going to take Kai on the plane to Dallas! So we'll be driving to Texas without Kai which will be weird but so much faster and easier. I'll miss him though. I've never had a night away from him and not sure how I will handle that... He LOVES my mom and dad though, so I know he'll be fine :) And it's just one night.
-I'm a little nervous about driving those 18 hours (36 round trip) while pregnant cause I don't want anything to happen to baby girl, but Kolby's a good driver and I think we'll be ok.
Kai is loving the snow, and he looks too cute playing in it...
