MY LUCKY CHARMS

It's been quite the madhouse over here at the Bradley residence. We're talking one of our kids (that's right, kids plural, I still can't believe it) is always crying; which leaves zero time for blogging and journaling. Good thing they are so cute! I at least took a quick 30 minutes to snap some st patty's day photos. We have absolutely no Irish in our blood, but I always like an excuse to take festive photos of my littles.

In retrospect, Kai probably shouldn't have worn that girly green headband, but it was all they had left at the dollar store. He will probably see these later and be like what the heck were you thinking mom?! Good thing I'm not a world famous blogger, so almost no one will see these pics :)

But really, they are my lucky charms. I have never felt more lucky in my entire life.

Here's Kai last  St Patty's Day:

And now this one:

Can't believe that's the same baby. Gosh I miss that little chunk in the first picture (7 months). But I also love the stage he's in right now (19 months).

Here's a few more, hope you all had a fun st pattys!

PRESLEY 1 MONTH

Presley is almost 2 months, but I'm just now finding the time to do her 1 month update...I obviously haven't gotten the hang of this whole 2 under 2  thing yet :) It's a wild ride but I love it. Poor  Pres has been colicky and needs to be held almost 24/7, which has also made things rough. We just discovered gripe water though, and that's been helping a ton!

This Presley girl...she melts us. Like every second of every day. And in a different way than Kai did as a newborn...both equally amazing, just different. She's such a sweet little spirit, and I feel so insanely lucky and blessed to be her mama. We just can't stop oodling over her beautiful dark hair and gorgeous skin. She's the prettiest little thing we've ever laid eyes on.

Things I don't want to forget about her:
-her little grunts she makes while stretching
-the cute way she always holds her hands by her face
-the way she lifts up her head and looks at me with those big blue eyes when I'm burping her over my shoulder. I've never seen a baby with better eye contact or neck strength!
-her LITTLEness. She is so itty bitty and I love it. She's still under 8 lbs.
-how she turns her head to my voice
-how she looks up at me while nursing
-how she always sleeps with her arms above her head or reaching out
-her cute little sighs when she's in a deep sleep.

Loves:
-hanging out in the solly baby wrap with mama or daddy
-bath time (as long as she has a washcloth covering her)
-being held
-car rides, as long as we're moving
-her pacifier
-water sounds

Dislikes:
-diaper changes
-being naked
-getting dressed
-being held without some kind of motion (she usually has to be bounced)
-being set down or left alone

I can't believe she already has blue eyes. She'll be the most stunning dark hair blue-eyed beauty there ever was. How did I get 2 blue eyed babes?!

Presley did NOT want to take photos (see photo at the end) so this wasn't the easiest shoot, but I managed to get a few where she wasn't crying...ha.

A PRETTY GIRL IN FLOWERS

While pregnant with Presley, I saw a beautiful photo on pinterest of a girl sleeping sweetly in a flower wreath, and thought I've gotta do that same picture with my little girl! So here's the result.

Now I have to share something kind of funny/shocking/sad...but I waited until the end for a reason (so that you wouldn't be freaked out while scrolling through those photos). I showed these pics to my mom and brother, and they both said they looked like funeral photos. Yikes! That was definitely not the intention. I just thought she looked so pretty surrounded by flowers. Hopefully most of you reading this didn't think the same scary thing while scrolling through.

Anyways, I love this girl so much it hurts! She is joy.

SOME PICTURES OF MY BABY GIRL

I could go on and on about how perfect this girl is, but I'll let the pictures do the talking :)

WHEN KAI MET PRESLEY

I just had to write a little post about Kai's first time meeting Presley while we were still in the hospital. It was the sweetest moment ever and made my heart pretty darn happy.

Kolby walked in with Kai and I cried when I saw him. I hadn't seen him for 2 days since I'd just given birth and I just loved him so much, and wanted him to feel that love, even with a new baby around. Not to mention, he looked so big and grown up compared to Presley. Where did my baby boy go??!

We brought her over to him, and he looked at her sweetly. We told him to give her a kiss and he did. He rarely gives kisses, and in the past, has cried when Kolby or I is holding another baby. This time, it didn't seem to bother him one bit, and dare I say, I think he loved his sister at first sight.

Since then, he absolutely adores her. He can be in the grumpiest fit, and then I show him his little sister and he starts talking to her in the cutest high-pitched sweet voice and smiles at her. Throughout the day, I find him leaning over her bassinet smiling and saying "da-da!" (Pres-ley). The smile he gets when he is near her is unlike any other smile he has. I've honestly never seen him love something so much. He always wants to hold her, and cries when we take her away. He always wants to lay his head next to her and automatically goes in for a kiss anytime he sees her. He's never once showed an ounce of jealousy when Kolby and I are holding her or taking care of her. They are only 17 months apart, and I hope their sweet relationship continues on forever!

Here are some more Presley-Kai moments I've captured over the last month:

PS his hair was SO long, he looked hilarious. Thank goodness my mom cut it right after this.
